Prof. Dr. Daniel Grasseschi
Bachelor of Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2010) and a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2015), in the nanotechnology area, a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Advanced Research in Graphene, Nanomaterials, and Nanotechnology (Mackgrafe), from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (2015-2018) and post-doctorate at the Center of 2-Dimensional and Layered Materials from Pennsylvania State University (2017). In 2018 he was hired as an Adjunct Professor in the inorganic chemistry department of the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He works mainly in the study of synthesis, characterization, and surface chemistry of nanoparticles and two-dimensional materials, such as graphene and black phosphorus, for application in optical fibers, SERS sensors, and photocatalysis.
